Setting up a Business Facebook Page
In this guide we will detail how to set up a Facebook Page for your business.
Firstly, open up a new tab in your browser and go to www.facebook.com/business.
Once on this page, click on the Create An Ad button in the top right corner, then click on Create A Page.
On the next page select Business or Brand.
Once you’ve clicked Business or Brand, you will be asked to login/sign up to Facebook. Simply use your personal Facebook details, or set one up to use only for your business.
In the next section you will be prompted to add your Business Details. All of these can be edited at any time after the page has been set up.
Once you’ve filled in all of these details, the Create Page button will change colour ready for you to click and create your page.
You will now be asked if you would like to add a Profile Picture and a Cover Photo. You’ll have more success on Facebook if you include images. Simply select the photos you want to use and press Save.
It’s good practice to use your company Logo as the Profile Picture. This way you can easily be identified by customers. When choosing a Cover Photo there are more options. You can advertise your opening hours, share a photo of your products or advertise a current deal you have for customers. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any images to use yet, this can be done at a later stage.
After you press Save, Facebook will now show you a pop-up that asks if you wish to connect a WhatsApp for your business. If this is something you’re interested in, simply enter your number and follow the next steps. If not, simply click the X at the top corner.
You will now see your Facebook page as you set it up with your Business Name and photos. This is a basic set up. There are still things you should do to utilise everything your Facebook page can offer you.
Adding a Button to your Facebook page can save your customers time if they want to book from your website. To add a Button to your page you click on the blue square that says Add A Button
You will then see different options to consider. Choose Start Order.
From here you will be prompted to add a Website Address. Use the one where customers can place orders with you.
Changing details on the rest of your page is simple. When you visit your page there will be a Manage Page section on the left hand side that lets you edit and add details to your page.
